The Economist Masters in Management ranking 2021

Henley’s Masters in Management programme has been placed no.8 in the UK, no.30 in Europe and no.38 in the world in this year’s ranking by The Economist

Our focus on employability and learner experience is evident in our world no.25 ranking for personal development and education experience. This is measured by the quality of faculty, learner experience, and diversity, for which our positions included:

  • No.1 in the world for the percentage of full-time faculty teaching on the Masters In Management programme holding a PhD
  • No.17 in the world for quality of faculty overall
  • No.29 overall for student experience
  • No.10 for student gender diversity, no.16 for student geographical diversity and no.13 for faculty gender diversity

We are proud of the networking opportunities we offer to students and alumni, reflected in our no.19 position in the world for potential to network.

Our overseas alumni chapters have seen us ranked no.7 in the world for this measure. Henley has over 84,000 alumni across more than 150 countries, and we have launched three new volunteer-run alumni chapters in Pakistan, Eastern Europe and Russia. These groups facilitate networking and are essential to developing our global community.

Helping learners develop their international and cross-cultural skills is part of the programme at Henley, with learners usually undergoing a two-week trip as part of their international study challenge module. Our international partnerships have subsequently seen us placed at no.22 for range and access to overseas study programmes.

Our no.16 world ranking for diverse spread of employers also highlights the range of companies and organisations our alumni go on to work for.

Professor George Alexandridis, Head of Pre-Experience Postgraduate Programmes at Henley Business School, said:

“At Henley, offering an outstanding experience and equipping our students with key employability skills to succeed in the market place are both at the very centre of our philosophy. It is great to see that our significant investment in the learner’s journey and career development is reflected in the Economist ranking which places our Masters among the very best in the world.

It is also important to note that for a Masters programme to be able to make a tangible difference on its students’ career outcomes, it needs to be able to bring to the table diverse networking opportunities. Our top 20 world position for both potential to network and spread of employers recruiting our students, is testament to our commitment to utilise Henley’s global brand and network to the benefit of those that decide to embark on their Masters in Management journey with us.”
